Spy bugs allow you to hear the conversations taking place in
the location it is being placed in.

While the term spy bugs is sometimes used broadly, it most often refers to a small microphone, hidden or not, which captures sounds and transmit it to a receiver located at a certain distance from it.

Before deciding on which model is right for you, you should know prices, performance and quality can vary greatly.

For the sake of simplicity let's brake this type of device down to three main categories...

Government/Law enforcement level

high quality general public level

These are very sophisticated, small, and undetectable by 99.99% if not 100% of regular folks. Including "paranoid" folks. They often provide for a decent transmission range - that is the maximum distance you can stand away from the device and still receive the audio signal.

Recommendation
The ones i recommend the most are those of Advanced Intelligence Inc. These spy bugs are disguised as calculators and AC power adapters.

decent quality general public level

Bugging devices in this category can vary greatly in term of performance and it would take too long to rate each model.

Just remember that some of the lower priced ones have short transmission range and are easier to detect by the "target".
