The unit takes your voice and digitize it.From there,depending on the quality of the model,it allowsyou to adjust one or both components of the human voice throughdifferent settings and/or slide controls.

For the technically inclined ones,those 2 components of the human voice consist of fundamental waves that are pitch-sensitive and the others are non pitch-sensitive fixed harmonics.
