Enter the Washington DC Spy Museum and you're entering a world of espionage and intrigue that dates back centuries.

The museum, officially called the International Spy Museum, houses exhibits that educate and entertain while revealing some of the gray and black areas that the world's governments play in every day.

Test your real-life spy skills at many of the interactive exhibits found at the Washington DC Spy Museum including a shot at deciphering the secret messages that were cranked out on a regular basis during WWII by the Nazi "Enigma" code machine.

While many visitors come to hear former spies lecturing on tradecraft and treachery, and others come for the spy film festivals, there isn't a visitor to the dc spy museum who doesn't take time to see the spy equipment "toys". With over 200 "tools of the trade" on display, visitors get a first-hand look at the weapons, intercept devices, hidden cameras, specially-equipped vehicles and all of the other gadgets that rival any found in a James Bond movie. The Washington DC Spy Museum is located at 800 F Street, NW in Washington DC. Parking is available at several commercial lots in the area plus there are metered spaces all around the museum. Hours vary during the year so it's best to check before you go. Admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors age 65 and up, and $11 for children age 5 to 11. Under 5 is free. Group tour rates are available.
